Person: Lopez Lomong - Lost Boy of Sudan to U.S. Olympic Runner

I love the Olympics. Typically, I am not a sports enthusiast, but the Olympics are just enthralling. Not only do we get to watch the greatest athletes in the world, but we also get to hear many of their stories. There are the athletes from small-town U.S.A., the few privileged athletes representing their small country, the Olympic veterans who are trying to break even more records, and SO many more.

Some of the stories really stand out. This Olympic season, the story of Lopez Lomong captured my attention. He was one of the Lost Boys of Sudan who was brought to the U.S. as a teenager. His attitude in the video clips I have seen is so gracious and grateful, and he seems to be so passionate about representing the United States at the Olympics. What an inspiration!
