Seven Years Later

Happy Anniversary to my favorite person! I would not want to be on this life journey with anyone but you.

A lot has happened during our seven years of marriage. First, our wedding.

Year One: Move across the country, start law school (not me), try to find newly wedded bliss in the midst of studying and working

A rare study break.

Year Two: More studying (again, not me), try to squeeze in a few hours together here and there, spend a summer apart due to his clerkship and my work

A little getaway during our summer apart.

Year Three: Finish law school (wahoo!), say goodbye to our friends, move across the country again, hope to start a family

Law school graduation. Pardon my hair.  Public Service Announcement: No matter how tight your budget is, at least pay for a decent hair cut before important events that you may want pictures of.  #justdoit

Year Four: Try having income rather than more student loans, enjoy life after law school, go places, see things, begin to wonder about infertility, move nearby

Year Eight: TBD

Our marriage so far has been quite a ride. Through it all, we are still best friends. We share the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows. God has been good to us, helping us to encourage each other through many tears and teaching us to find joy in every circumstance.

Here's to Year Eight!
